DC

There is so much about DC. Like all the  monuments  and museums. But it wasn’t all like that. it used to be on a bog. DC is very intersting in the desgin, how did they did it?

“Dead is a State of Mind” Book Review

Dead is a State of Mind is a really good book. It’s about Daisy who is a girl with physic powers who attends at Nightshade High School. She runs into a boy, Duke, that was new at Night Shade and there was fishy about him. He had almost all the classes that Daisy had to. Duke had seemed to have an interest in Daisy to but she was already with the love of her life Ryan. The next day a teacher at Night Shade got murdered at her mother had to help the police get to the bottom of this. Than Ryan starts acting weird he is ditching their dates and starts to talk to this girl all the time.  Her life gets out of control and with her curious mind, and she starts to investigate the murder and her boyfriend.

The main charters of this book are Daisy, Poppy, and Rose. Three sisters with major problems. You ready know about Daisy but not Poppy and Rose. Poppy is dating a ghost and rose a under taker. They all have their problems which rise up and up to the climax of this book.

This is a really good book about basically teenager life and how quickly it can turn for the good or bad. It is a book of mysteries and excitement around every page. You will fell emotions that you didn’t even feel before. It’s such a good book.

I highly recommend this book if you like mystery, life, and yourself because you can put yourself in Daisy’s shoes. So pick up this book today.

To hunt or protect from a foe

“Success is Counted Sweetest” By Emily Dickinson

Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne’er succeed.
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need.

Not one of all the purple host
Who took the flag to-day
Can tell the definition,
So clear, of victory!

As he, defeated, dying,
On whose forbidden ear
The distant strains of triumph
Burst agonized and clear!

My reflection is that success is the most great when you don’t see the after math.

Sleeping in the Forest

“Sleeping in the Forest” By Mary Oliver

I thought the earth remembered me,
she took me back so tenderly,
arranging her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed,
nothing between me and the white fire of stars
but my thoughts, and they floated lite as moths
among the branches of perfect trees.
all night I heard the small kingdoms
breathing around me, the insects
and the birds who do their work in the darkness
all night I rose and feel, as if in water,
grappling with luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen times
into something better.

My reflection on this poem is that nature will always renew it self.

Touched by an Angel

Touched by an Angel By Maya Angelou

We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love’s light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

Love flees from us we forget the the wonderful things that love had bring us, and when we fall in love again, all those memories come back. Then we realized that only love really sets us free.

Woman Work

Woman Work by Maya Angelou

I've got the children to tend
The clothes to mend
The floor to mop
The food to shop
Then the chicken to fry
The baby to dry
I got company to feed
The garden to weed
I've got shirts to press
The tots to dress
The can to be cut
I gotta clean up this hut
Then see about the sick
And the cotton to pick.

Shine on me, sunshine
Rain on me, rain
Fall softly, dewdrops
And cool my brow again.

Storm, blow me from here
With your fiercest wind
Let me float across the sky
'Til I can rest again.

Fall gently, snowflakes
Cover me with white
Cold icy kisses and
Let me rest tonight.

Sun, rain, curving sky
Mountain, oceans, leaf and stone
Star shine, moon glow
You're all that I can call my own.

I think this poem is about motherhood. How it's so stressful, but when you have a little rest you feel wonder ful
